Our story begins in Quebec in 1979 with the founding of the Audvik company: a visionary winter coat company that wanted to do its part to create a more sustainable fashion industry. Local production, clothing repair, high-quality fabrics: Audvik has never skimped to offer responsible coats that stand the test of time.
Sophie Boyer, a former cross-country ski athlete, acquired the Audvik company in 2012. It was by wanting to combine style, warmth and environmental responsibility that Sophie, helped by her mother in product design, set herself the goal of mission to instill passion and energy to continue creating sustainable Canadian coats.
A few years later, FOSFO was born, first as an Audvik collection. Its rounded shapes, bright colors and modern cuts quickly made it a must-have. And today, the brand stands on its own two feet: FOSFO products are sold throughout North America, to the delight of winter lovers.
Mission and values
At FOSFO, we love winter. Passionately. And if we love it so much, it’s because we spend it in nature doing sports. This nature must be preserved at all costs.
It is for this reason that we wanted to create an ultra-warm coat whose ecological footprint would be reduced as much as possible. Each FOSFO is insulated with certified responsible down. As for its fabrics, they are made from fishing nets found in the ocean, which are then recycled into threads used to weave our fabrics.
